about me

I’ve worked at print and digital publications, including USA Today’s Reviewed, where I oversaw verticals covering money, sleep, travel, and more.

I previously cut my chops at The Improper Bostonian, a lifestyle magazine that reached some 400,000 readers every two weeks before it closed its doors in 2019. As the managing editor, I was the first set of eyes on reviews written by our wine, film, book, music, and restaurant critics—as well as interviews with A-list celebs who graced the covers—reading the 100-page publication several times before it went to press.

After 10 years in journalism, I turned my part-time love of carpentry into a full-time gig. I may have swapped a newsroom for a construction site, but I’m still tackling freelance work, from proofing to copy editing and beyond.

As much as I enjoy tackling my own writing assignments, I love helping others write even more. My former bosses have described me as conscientious, eagle-eyed, and full of ideas.
